Get The Kettle On!
So, you turn up to the Gym ready for your usual workout but everyone seems to have the same idea and the kit you normally use is being used by someone else (how dare they…).
Because people generally have a set routine in the gym this situation can make you feel irritated and demotivated and you start to think ‘I’ll just go home instead’. Well STOP! There are so many different things you can do in the gym, don’t be put off – ask the gym team for help – why not try something new, all exercise is good for you and sometimes it helps to mix things up and work different muscle groups too.
This is where the Kettlebell comes into play. Having the same weighty punch as dumbbells with half the popularity, it’s very likely to be ignored while the rest of the gym queues for the more popular equipment such as the machines.
This article works through a Kettlebell only Lower Body Workout that will help you burn fat, build muscle and increase fitness.
Give it a try:
- Kettlebell Swings – 3 sets of 10-15 reps
- Kettlebell Front Squats – 3 sets of 10-15 reps
- Kettlebell Figure of 8 – 3 sets of 10-15 reps
- Kettlebell Lunges – 3 sets of 10-15 reps

Mobile Phone usage
You may have noticed in the gym that the use of the Mywellness app has increased mobile phone usage on gym floor. We recommend that all members make use of the Mywellness app and download it onto your smartphone as it has a range of benefits in terms of tracking workouts.
However, the gym floor still has rules regarding the use of mobile phones and we urge members to refrain from making phone calls while training and only use them to listen to music or use the Mywellness app.
